Biological treatment of musculoskeletal conditions

PRP is the portion of the blood that contains platelets, which have strong reparative and anti-inflammatory properties. In combination with adequate physiotherapy, PRP injection is a valuable option in the treatment of early osteoarthritis, as well as chronic inflammations of tendons, bursae, muscles, etc (i.e. tendonitis, bursitis).

In some cases, the injection of Hyaluronic Acid can improve the symptoms in arthritic joints, by providing a relatively long lasting (6-12 months) lubrication in the joint. This is another option for patients with early to moderate arthritis.
